Let’s start our
seventh lesson that will cover the objective: “Keep the
reader's interest”.
Lesson 7:
Keep the reader's interest
When you write
a book, your utmost goal is to get your readers a readable
book. And this can be achieved only when you provide the
reader a readable story that keeps their interest from start
to the end. This is the scope of this lesson of our writing
course.
A book that you
write may be an autobiography. It may be a historical book,
it may be a short story on imaginative future; it may be a
true family biography. All that is needed is writing a book
worth reading.
Lesson 8: Write correctly - Part I: Simple language
Using simple
language for writing your book is an art. You need to
use words and language so
effectively that your story turns into an interesting
journey for the reader. Writing a book is easy only when
trained properly. Everyone struggles with the writing
process, but once learned, it is as simple as making a stew.
This lesson on writing a book covers your eighth objective
of “Write correctly – Part I”. This gives you extensive
coaching on using simple language.
If you
sincerely want to succeed in creative writing, make a
conscious effort to use simple language to write a book.
Construct simple and easy to understand sentences. It’s
important - particularly to agents and publishers – and
specifically to the public.
Lesson 9: Write correctly - Part II: Spelling
It seems very
simple to spell correctly but it is not. You may not be
aware of the fact that many
writers—especially creative ones—are poor spellers. If you
visit some editors and ask for manuscripts to see, you will
be surprised at how many manuscripts of quality writers
exhibit interesting creativity in spelling and grammar.
This lesson
covers this most crucial part of writing a book. You will be
trained on how to spell the words correctly.
Lesson 10: Write correctly - Part III:
Capitalizations, abbreviations, numbers
Polish your
book … this is the message of this lesson. You need to
polish, test and polish your content. All this is done by
including the capitalizing the important words, phrases;
using abbreviations and numbers. A well done book is surely
set for best-selling.
Lesson 11:
Revise
Revising your
book plays most important part in achieving your goal of
writing a book. This lesson would guide you on how to
proof-read your book, edit it and fix the bugs that must be
fixed before sending your book to the publisher.
Lesson 12: Publish your book
Now your book is ready.
Publish it any way you want. It can be a Hard copy, an
E-book, a PDF format. By now, you've learned a lot about how
to write a book. And this is the last lesson on how to
publish your book. You will be taught on how to approach the
Publisher, how to persuade him to get your book printed etc.
