So you have decided to write a book. Good thinking on your part for leading a life of a writer. Let that be a Novelist, Story writer, Columnist, etc. As an author, you get a chance to move around and see the things with minute details so that you can write about them. Wherever you go, you can write; sitting on bench in a Garden, during train journey, traveling across the country on a Ship, and everywhere you feel comfortable with writing.

Let’s get started…

TOPIC

First and foremost thing is to decide on what to write, so let your imagination take a journey of the possible ideas that can be put into a great book. You know, that you own a great resource of ideas?  Yes, look around yourself. You are a very small part of a large world. You are surrounded by things that are beautiful. You have your life history. You must have gone through many experiences:

  • good or bad
  • sensational and memorable
  • tough
  • accidents or incidents

As long as you surf through your life, you get enough ideas to work on them. If you have planned to write on any of them, then you are the best explainer of the situations as you have gone through them. You can put them in writing in the best possible way.

PLAN

Next thing you do is proper planning of your book. Use graphical outlines for the plan. Put your ideas or points into graphical design, so that you go as per the diagrammatical plan. Such example can be like this:-

PUT THE PLAN INTO A BOOK

Once you put your ideas into graphical pattern, the whole plan gets a physical appearance and easily done. There remain less chances of leaving out any idea or point. You are always open to change or add the ideas. When this is done, you can arrange your ideas into a sequence. There are more benefits for using graphical outline.

  • Less chances of leaving out ideas.
  • Faster process of developing a plan.
  • Step by step covering of each idea.

LAST WORD

Finally, you must cover each point as given below:-

  • Develop the plot of the book.
  • What is the story about?
  • Explain the ideas and support them with examples, for this your experiences can be of great help.
  • Convey your message to the readers through the characters of your book.
